Our team
The boss and chef
Ralf was born in Germany and studied computer science. He is also an (almost) lifelong (tent) camper and passionate hobby cook. In the middle of the third Corona wave, he bought the site known as “Camping Les Pêcheurs” in April 2021 to fulfil a dream. Together with the team, he now runs the campsite, renamed “Bijou du Doubs”, and the associated restaurant. He has transferred his passion for delicious food to the restaurant kitchen.

Susi drives 1100 km every fortnight during the season to look after the campsite – and of course to provide the boss with mental support. And without her energetic help in the kitchen, the karaoke evenings wouldn’t be possible!
“Our chick“
Amélie started with us for the 2024 season – with no experience of restaurant service. But it didn’t take more than three days for Amélie to serve three plates in one go! She has learnt to take orders, prepare cocktails and cash in just as quickly.
With her smile and unwavering commitment to the well-being of our guests, she quickly became a pillar of our service and a much-appreciated member of the team by guests and colleagues alike.
In her spare time, Amélie looks after her dogs and over twenty chickens.
Friendliness and calmness in person
After various professional positions, including in the hotel business, Nathalie has been working in the campsite restaurant since May 2021 – with ever-growing enthusiasm. Even during the biggest rush, she maintains her amiability and (outward) calm.
The worker bee on the campsite
Our “Polo” (actually Jean-Paul) is the custodian of the campsite. He takes care of everything, from mowing the lawn to cleaning the sanitary facilities to towing stuck camper vans. And when he takes the time to go fishing, he catches something (in the picture a 70cm long pike)!
The pixies
The campsite has a lot of friends who are always there when you need them. And suddenly things are done that you didn’t even know had to be done. The best known of these pixies are: Andrea, Astrid, Carmen, Chantal, Christian, Daniel, Gerold, Hanna, Hervé, Johannes, Ludger, Lukas, Martin, Matthias, Paul, Peter2, Stefan, Sylvain, Trixi, Yves – unfortunately not all of them can be listed here.
The craftsmen
Despite all the pixies – a campsite cannot survive without professional support. The most important professionals are:
