Activities on the campsite

What would a French campsite be without a boules court?
Correct, incomplete. That’s why we have a large boules court, the “Boulodrome” – with rustic tables and seating made from trees washed up by the winter floods.
You can bet that playing boules with a pastis, a cold beer or a glass of wine on one of these tables is even more fun.
Of course, a table tennis table is not missing either. If necessary, you can borrow rackets and balls at the reception (for a deposit).
The Doubs offers a wide range of activities right on our doorstep: splashing around in the water, fishing either from the shore or from a boat, bird watching, canoeing …

Speaking of canoeing: you can hire canoes and also a kayak from us to explore the Doubs. But please remember that even at low water, the Doubs has a current and you need strength to row against the current …
On request, we also offer to take you with car and trailer about 10km upstream, from where you can paddle downstream to the campsite in about 2 to 2.5 hours.
A special tip for children: There is an island about 40m from the campsite – right in the middle of the Doubs. From August onwards, a miniature wilderness invites you to discover and have adventures there … I wonder what the last winter flood washed up? And if the water is low, you don’t even have to swim there, you can just wade across.
Fishing … for many the most wonderful hobby in the world. With us you can pursue your passion in great surroundings and with great prospects of success, especially for large catfish. But zander, pike and perch are also at home in the Doubs. And you can easily put your boat in the water. Pictures especially for anglers can be found here.
You can purchase the fishing permit required for fishing in the Doubs directly from us.

For those who do not want to fish only from the shore but do not have (or cannot bring) their own boat: You can rent a rowing boat with a length of 3.20m and a width of 1.45m by handing in your identity card (see our rates). If you wish, you are also welcome to bring your own petrol or electric engine up to 6hp (maximum for the boat and more than 6 hp are forbidden due to the nature reserve).

Birdwatchers and ornithologists will also find what they are looking for on our campsite. Situated in the middle of a nature reserve, the Natura 2000 zone of the lower Doubs valley, our campsite is an ideal starting point for photography expeditions in the surrounding area – with beautiful results like these.
And we almost forgot … we also have a pool!
Here you can swim, play and romp around on 6x13m – or simply relax on the deckchairs.
By the way, the water is between 1.10m and 1.60m deep.
